Newly appointed division manager Russ George heard loud and clear what his customers wanted: a clear focus on the flooring contractors in the South Bay.

According to Russ, "we needed to make sure we had a clear focus on the flooring contractors in the south bay so I decided to create an atmosphere that is geared towards the sand and finish contractor, now, we are a one stop shop for all of their needs."

To accomplish this Russ installed a new 1,200 square foot showroom consisting of 9 different unfinished species displaying different grades and cuts; a slot-wall cage area displaying 500 tools used everyday by contractors; and, there is even a 220 outlet for customers to test floor sanders.

"I decided to install Owens Flooring throughout the showroom so that flooring contractors can use and promote the Owens line to all of their customers," Russ said. "I'm really happy with the decision and we finished everything in Basic Coatings, using both their Commercial Catalyzed Sealer/Street Shoe system in the showroom and Emulsion/RevoTech in the will call area. Also, we have all of the unfinished displays and brochures on hand for our customers to reference."

Because contractors want to get in and out quickly, they have worked hard to improve customer service and deliveries. The warehouse was redesigned to expedite the entire order process so that the everyday items are available for fast and easy access by the staff.

Great values, great deals and an even better lunch

Fresh coffee and breakfast burritos are available daily. On Wednesday they have hot dogs and drinks for the customers at lunch time. And, beginning in November, on the first Thursday of each month they will be having Tri-Tip Thursdays with vendor's on-site, hands on demonstrations, promotional sales items and most importantly, the famous Russ George Tri-Tip.
