Through its Chain-of-Custody (CoC) Program, SCS certifies manufacturers and distributors who handle FSC-certified wood. To obtain and maintain its CoC certificate, Golden State Flooring must submit to regular audits and properly track, label, invoice, and account for the FSC-certified products we handle.

SCS requires the tracking of certified products throughout the production process and the distribution chain to ensure the validity of the claim that the product is being sourced from FSC certified forestlands. The certifiers, through their audit process, provide consumers with confidence that wood products carrying the FSC/SCS logo in fact contain wood harvested from an FSC-certified well-managed forest and meet all of the other stringent requirements of the FSC.
